I am a Toronto area nature photographer with a
special interest in tropical rainforests. I have studied microbiology,
biochemistry, photography and for 7 years worked for a small Biotech
company. In 2008 I decided to go back to university and pursue a career as a
Public Health Inspector.
There are 3 words that mean the most to me: nature, photography and travel.
As long as I can remember I have always had a camera in my hand and have
loved spending time in the wild. It was only a matter of time before these
two passions united and I started capturing with my camera the beauty of all
things in nature. I am especially drawn to the tiniest of things, perhaps
because of the mystery associated with what we normally do not see.
I stepped into a rainforest for the first time while still at university. It
was in 1999, Australia. I was amazed by its mystery, beauty, colours, sounds
and the variety of wildlife. It was there that I saw my first parrot,
colourful frog and large, oddly shaped insect. I have found my purpose, my
true passion and ambition: to travel to and photograph the rainforests of
the world.

"My
favorite thing is to go where I’ve never been.”
Diane Arbus
“There is a
pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in
its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.”
